Modification of NBR Rubber with Baymod N Plasticizer
NBR rubber, distributed under the Baymod® N brand, possesses excellent resistance to oil, fuel, solvents, and various chemicals. Because Baymod® N can be dissolved in the process of converting rubber into a solution form, it is widely used in industries for producing coatings or adhesives using a solvent-based process.
Plastic materials modified with Baymod® N exhibit excellent elasticity and flexibility, along with high durability and toughness. This makes them suitable for use with soft PVC in specific processing systems. Due to its nature as a polymeric plasticizer, Baymod® N is used to improve flexibility, enhance oil resistance in PVC formulations, and provide a smooth surface and soft touch similar to rubber. Examples of common uses of Baymod® include seals and waterproof coatings.
