Therban
Therban® is a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) in which part or all of the nitrile double bonds have been hydrogenated.
While all HNBR types provide outstanding strength, heat resistance, and oil resistance superior to standard NBR and other polymers, Therban® offers a wide range of grades designed to perform exceptionally well in the most demanding environments.

Key Benefits
Developed specifically for applications requiring superior durability in harsh environments, Therban® provides the following advantages:
- Excellent resistance to oils and fuels at high levels
- Operates effectively across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 165°C
- Exceptional performance in contact with various automotive fluids such as power steering fluids, automatic transmission fluids, engine oils, diesel, and lubricants
- Outstanding heat and ozone resistance across 17% ACN to 44% ACN grades
- Superior abrasion and wear resistance
- Excellent mechanical strength and elasticity
